| Building Awareness Awareness is the cornerstone of real change. Unfortunately we are saturated with stories of tragedy and atrocity. Terms like ‘information overload’ and ‘compassion fatigue’ have become clichés. However they reflect a real sense that people feel overwhelmed by the sheer scale of acts of human cruelty that are reported every day. We have learned that when people feel overwhelmed they turn away. The problems remain. We build awareness of critical issues and find new ways to engage the public media and decision makers. Our aim is not to overwhelm with the sheer scale of the problems, but to fill people with a sense of the possible and their capacity to make a difference. |
